We use voice synthesis, generative AI, and integrations with logistics systems to solve the largest cost in this industry - people.When Uber Freight needs to ship a truckload of Coca-Cola going from Phoenix to Bentonville. They can use FleetWorks to call the driver to get an ETA, alert the receiver and shipper that the driver is running late, and reschedule the appointment - all with automated text messages, phone calls, and emails.❌ THE PROBLEM:Getting freight from point A to point B is still largely handled by humans. Digitized brokers have driven automation, but most day-to-day operations are still handled over phone and email between millions of humans around the world. Given this overhead, freight brokerages operate on low single-digit margins.Three roles in a freight brokerage spend a significant part of their day on repetitive tasks:<ol><li>Track and trace agents → Identify loads that are not being tracked automatically via apps, telematics, or aggregators. They reach out via phone or email to the driver or dispatcher for an update.</li><li>Load coverage and carrier sales → Handle inbound/outbound calls to/from trucking companies that are interested to book loads. Information like weight, commodity, and appointment time is shared. Then the parties negotiate on price.</li><li>Appointment schedulers → Set appointment times for unscheduled loads by calling or emailing facilities, or logging into customer portals. Due to unforeseen issues, 20-30% of appointments need to be rescheduled at the last minute resulting in even more work.</li></ol>✨ OUR SOLUTION:FleetWorks sits alongside a broker’s phone, email, and transportation management system (TMS). Interview Process Overview:

Phone Screen: An informal call to assess your fit for the role and FleetWorks' startup environment. We look for a strong startup interest, demonstrated by past experience.
Technical Screens: Two remote sessions to evaluate programming skills and UI experience.

Salary Range Details
The compensation range for this position is set between $160,000 and $190,000, reflecting our market analysis and other relevant considerations. However, exceptions may be made for candidates with qualifications that significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.

About the role

We are looking for a senior frontend-leaning fullstack engineer eager to take over large swaths of our greenfield product roadmap. As one of our early senior hires, you will partner closely with our founders on the direction of our product and drive business-critical technical decisions. You will also ship major product initiatives that fundamentally change the way that Data Scientists and Analysts operate, and have ample technical and team leadership opportunities, depending on your interests.

We aim to deliver an intuitive, delightful experience that is as empowering as it is pleasing to the eye and we have plenty of challenges at all levels of the stack. Some interesting challenges you could work on include:

Designing and building collaborative multiplayer editing of notebooks and applications, including conflict resolution and commenting systems.
Scaling rich, interactive, customizable components to provide a performant, pleasant experience from ten to a hundred or more notebook cells.
Representing complex concepts (e.g. caching, kernel execution state) in a digestible UX that is understandable for users from a variety of backgrounds.
Making chart building delightful whether there are ten data points or a million.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
At least 4+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience leading and executing on major product initiatives.
Excitement for getting your hands dirty and diving deep into how the browser works to develop high-quality and performant user experiences.
An aptitude for how web infrastructure works to develop high-quality internal developer and external user experiences.
An instinct for strategic thinking and aligning with business and product goals while keeping a healthy balance of velocity and engineering excellence.
Interest in the data space, and a love of shipping great products and building tools that empower end users to do more.
Experience maintaining a high quality bar for design, correctness, and testing.
An ability to lead product initiatives while collaborating and mentoring fellow engineers.
Curiosity and an interest in diving into the bigger picture of building a company, including go-to-market, customer development, people, and marketing.

This role will be hybrid (1-2 days per week in office) based out of one of our hub locations, currently in San Francisco and NYC.
