Your Role

Architect and develop software solutions that leverages AI technology (LLM) to reimagine traditional bookkeeping and finance processes.
Collaborate with fellow founding team members to define our vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
Build and manage the technical infrastructure required to support our services, including databases, servers, and APIs.
Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of our technology and data.
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and finance to continually improve our product offerings.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, data scientists, and developers as the startup grows.

You Have

What we’re looking for

As a full-stack software engineer at Cleanlab, you will be building Cleanlab Studio, a user-friendly web app powered by our data-centric ML algorithms. You’ll work on everything from scalable backend systems for data ingestion, model training, and data analysis to beautiful and easy-to-use interfaces for data visualization, interpretation, and correction, and improvement of datasets.

No previous ML/AI experience is required, but bonus points if you have previously worked on ML/AI or data platforms.

The ideal candidate has experience building end-to-end solutions, across the software stack, understanding cost/performance tradeoffs. The ability to debug and optimize across the whole stack is essential and likely involves extensive experience with unit and integration testing.

Responsibilities

Work closely with designers, cloud engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to implement full-stack solutions.

Deliver innovative, engaging web applications using the latest in both front-end and back-end technologies.

Collaborate with other engineers to build streamlined systems and help establish a strong engineering culture across the company.

Qualifications

This is a senior role! Candidates must have at least 6 years of work experience developing full-stack web apps shipping code to production. We use React, JavaScript, Python, Flask, data processing / data science / ML frameworks, Postgres, Docker/Kubernetes, and rely on many AWS services.

Several years of cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment. You should have led impactful technical initiatives where first-order concerns include performance, data security, cost efficiency, ease of use, and operability.

You enjoy and are good at mentoring and coaching other engineers to become even stronger. Teams win!

This is a senior role. Success is more likely if you have at least 10+ years of real-world experience.

This is not an ML heavy role, however you are more likely to succeed if you have experience with ML infra concepts.
