Overview

Paraform is a recruiting marketplace where recruiters connect with companies that are hiring. Startups have a talent acquisition problem, and we believe recruiters are the answer.

There are many "automated" recruiting solutions like AI screening but at Paraform, we believe that recruiting is fundamentally human. That’s why we chose a marketplace model that facilitates very personal human interactions at scale.

In this article, we’ll cover how to get started as a recruiter on Paraform.

1. Choose a role to recruit for

Once you create a recruiter account, you can browse all open roles with rewards on the Browse page. You can filter roles by using the smart filters at the top of the page (Qualified, New) or with filters under the search bar (location, workplace, salary, role type, tech stack, and more).

Click on a role to learn more about what they are looking for.

2. Apply to recruit for the role

Once you've select eda role you want to work on, you'll need to apply and get approved before you can start sourcing and submitting candidates.

We do this to ensure the best experience for everyone and to limit the number of recruiters per role. To apply:

1. Click "Apply to Recruit"

2. Briefly share why you'd be a good fit

3. Decide if you want to anonymize your candidates (see below)

4. Click "Request Approval"

What does anonymizing my candidates mean?
By default, recruiters can see the backgrounds of each other's candidates. Checking this box hides all candidate details from other recruiters - only the hiring team can see them. On the flip side, this will also prevent you from seeing other candidate details.

Who reviews my requests?
All requests go to a shared inbox between Paraform Talent Partners and the Recruiter Success Team. Requests are typically reviewed within 24 hours.

Do I have to actively source for a role if I'm approved?
Yes! When you apply to recruit for a role, the expectation is that you'll actively source, screen multiple candidates, and submit multiple candidates. If you only want to make a one-off submission, you can use single submit

3. Understand the role

Once you’ve been approved, you'll get access to a role dashboard:

Each role includes everything you need to start sourcing effectively: detailed hiring manager notes, ideal candidate and company profiles, role requirements, and outreach tips. You'll also find tools to manage your candidate pipeline and message the hiring manager directly.

Hiring managers follow Paraform’s intake guidelines to provide a thorough brief—similar to a typical recruiter intake call.

Be sure to review all sections, including Paraform-specific features like common rejection reasons and an anonymized candidate pipeline to help you calibrate quickly.

4. Source candidates

Whether it’s someone already in your network or a new candidate you found on LinkedIn Recruiter, you can start submitting them once you're approved for a role.

With your own candidate CRM on Paraform you can save LinkedIn profiles, take notes and manage candidates.

Click "Add Candidate" in the top right corner to upload a candidate profile to your CRM. You can also add multiple candidates at once with Bulk Import.

Important: Sourcing a candidate and submitting them are two different things. Sourcing saves a candidate to your private CRM. Submitting sends them to the hiring manager. Candidates are not notified when they are sourced, only when submitted.

Submitting a candidate means the candidate has given you consent to submit their resume to a specific role.

  • You must have consent from the candidate to submit them to a role. Submitting without consent is a breach of our ground rules and can result in account suspension.

5. Submit candidates

1. Open your candidate's profile in the Candidate CRM.

3. Click "Submit" in the top right corner.

4. Fill out the candidate submission form. Be sure to provide thorough detail and responses to candidate questions.

5. Confirm details and submit!

6. What's next?

You and the candidate will receive a confirmation email. The candidate must confirm that they consented to the submission.

The hiring manager will handle scheduling and logistics with your candidate. We strongly recommend you stay in close contact with your candidate to prepare them for interviews and understand their priorities.

If the candidate moves to final round and offer stage, we'll connect you with the embedded Talent Partner and Hiring Manager to consult on offer details and close the candidate.

Happy recruiting!
