What you will do:
You will help define lasting process and own very important parts of our product. This is an opportunity to have real ownership on high priority projects.
You will primarily spend your time improving existing products and creating new ones, providing a great deal of value for our customers.
You will create team-wide systems from the ground up that. You will have a direct impact on best practices and shaping our engineering team’s processes and culture.
You’ll be building things that people love, and you’ll interact with our users every day to get feedback on your work and help troubleshoot issues.
You will work directly with our product designer, product manager, and business team to scope large projects and execute against them.

What are we looking for?
4+ years software engineering experience.
Experience with end-to-end web development.
Excitement to tackle hard technical problems: frontend performance, home-grown charting libraries, scaling infrastructure, data engineering as a service, opening PRs in open source libraries, resilient testing infrastructure, etc.
We use React, Redux and Typescript on the frontend and Django on the backend. Experience with these are preferred but not required.

As a Process Technician focusing on Swift’s R&D line, you will be a core member, ushering our company to the next stage of development by helping operate and optimize our new research projects running through the R&D line at Swift. On a typical day, you will review experimental plans with Swift’s process engineers and scientists, execute these plans, document the experiments in detail, and report your results to other team members involved in the process. As an evening shift technician, you will cover the late shift on the perovskite deposition equipment. You will be responsible for helping evaluate data, documenting and reporting any observations made during operation, and giving input on followup experiments. You will help keep the lab running smoothly and efficiently; for example, you may  perform  some tool-related maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and work closely with the equipment team. As a primary operator, you will manage and communicate supply needs, workflows, results, and tool output to support other work at Swift. While operating R&D deposition equipment will be your primary responsibility, you will also help with shared technician team tasks like substrate preparation and sample storage. You’ll have the additional opportunity to learn to operate & maintain additional tools along the R&D line once you and your manager feel like you’re ready to take on more responsibility. We are a pre-seed company and a tight-knit team largely based in New York City (NYC area applicants preferred, but not required). We are seeking a Head Bookkeeper to work with our current clients, and lead the initiative of building out our bookkeeping team. This is truly a ground-floor opportunity with a startup looking to disrupt a massive but overlooked industry.
 
Responsibilities

Efficiently deliver high-quality bookkeeping services to our customers in the US market.
Manage customer deadlines and expectations within a collaborative environment.
Work with product and engineering teams to enhance and evolve US-specific bookkeeping processes.
Mentor and guide new bookkeepers brought on as our client base scales.
Create standard operating procedures within our propietary software as well as Quickbooks best practices

Must Have Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping (preferably working with small businesses)
Highly proficient in Quickbooks online (this is important)!

Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
Enthusiastic about problem-solving and optimizing processes
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer experiences
