Recruiting does not always begin with an open role. Sometimes, it begins with a great candidate.

Candidate-First recruiting is how you take a candidate you already know and send them into roles across the Paraform platform. Instead of sourcing independently for a couple assigned roles, you can explore opportunities across the platform, understand where your candidate is most likely to succeed, and make targeted single submissions.

Paraform Intelligence helps you do this with three layers:

1. Recommended roles surface the best opportunities for each candidate.

2. AI calibration provides a deeper analysis of a specific candidate-role match.

3. Single submissions let you introduce the candidate directly to the hiring team.

You know the candidate. Paraform understands what is happening across each hiring pipeline. Together, those signals can lead to better submissions and more placements.

Single submissions

A single submission lets you submit a candidate to a role you are not working as a Primary recruiter.

Primary recruiting begins with a role: you are assigned to the search, then source and screen candidates specifically for that company.

Single submitting begins with a candidate: you already know someone with a strong profile and use Paraform to find all roles where they are a fit.

How many single submissions you can make each week is based on your recent performance across Paraform. Recruiters who consistently submit candidates that reach interviews receive a larger allowance.

Your interview rate includes resolved submissions across Primary roles, single submissions, and ParaAI.

You also earn a single submission credit back whenever one of your previous single submissions converts to a first-round interview. Allowances reset every Monday at 9:00 a.m. PT.

Recommended roles help you decide where to focus your single submissions.

Traditional matching systems mostly compare a resume against a job description. Paraform Intelligence goes further. It considers the role requirements alongside what is actually happening inside the hiring process, including:

  • Which candidates the hiring team interviews or rejects
  • Why candidates have been rejected
  • Patterns in the hiring team’s previous decisions
  • The strength and composition of the current pipeline
  • The candidate’s experience, preferences, talent density, and constraints

Roles are organized into three groups:

Recommended roles are the opportunities where the candidate appears to have the strongest alignment with the role and hiring team.

Possible fits are credible opportunities that may be worth exploring, but where the alignment is less certain.

Other Roles include the remaining open roles available for single submission.

A candidate may have several Recommended roles, one, or none at all. This is intentional. We would rather recommend fewer credible opportunities than encourage submissions where the candidate is unlikely to progress.

A complete resume and candidate preferences are required before Paraform can generate recommendations. Once both are added, you will find Recommended roles on the candidate profile and after submitting the candidate to any role.

Unlimited submissions to strong matches

Ran out of single submissions for the week? Recruiters with strong interview performance can continue submitting to Recommended roles and Possible fits without using their allowance.

You unlock unlimited submissions to these roles when you have either:

  • 50% first-round interview rate, or
  • 25% mid-round interview rate.

Revamped AI calibration

Recommended roles help you identify where to look. Our new AI Calibration helps you evaluate one specific opportunity in greater depth.

When you run AI Calibration, Paraform Intelligence performs a more detailed analysis of the candidate-role pair. It evaluates the candidate’s resume and preferences against the role requirements, hiring-team behavior, pipeline conditions, previous decisions, and rejection patterns.

This can reveal strong matches that are not obvious from the requirements alone. A candidate may appear unconventional on paper but aligns closely with the qualities the hiring team has consistently advanced. The reverse can also be true: a candidate may match the written requirements while resembling candidates the team has repeatedly passed on.

AI Calibration is not an approval to submit or a replacement for screening the candidate. It is another source of context to help you make a more informed decision.

A better way to place candidates

A strong Candidate-First workflow looks like this:

Start with a candidate you know well. Add an up-to-date resume and accurate preferences. Review their Recommended roles. Use AI Calibration when you need a deeper assessment of a particular match. Then make targeted single submissions when you believe the opportunities are right.

The goal is not more submissions. It is better submissions, made with more context and a clearer understanding of where each candidate can succeed. We will continue refining these systems based on real hiring outcomes and recruiter feedback, with every iteration focused on helping you place more great candidates.
