Senior AI Engineer (Studio)
Based on experience and qualifications. Additional comp includes bonus, platform equity, studio fund participation, and PE fund carry.
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with 3–7 years of experience to join AIVC's Studio as a core builder turning validated venture concepts into shipped products with real users. You're a quant-aspiring or big-tech engineer with an entrepreneurial streak — someone who's shipped end-to-end AI systems to production, built things nobody asked you to build, and wants real ownership in the companies you create.
What will you be doing?
Building end-to-end agentic AI systems (agents, retrieval, orchestration, tool integrations) for Studio ventures from 0→1 through product-market fit
Taking a venture's first product from scope to ship — cutting ruthlessly to the smallest thing that proves value, then hardening it for production
Extracting reusable primitives and patterns from each build so the next venture starts further ahead
Working directly with product strategists and design partners to shape what gets built — not just how it gets built
Operating across genuinely different venture contexts as need dictates, thriving in ambiguity rather than waiting for it to resolve
Key Requirements
2–5+ years at a top quant firm (Citadel, Two Sigma, DE Shaw, Jane Street) or elite tech company (Google, Stripe, Ramp, Databricks, Modal) with clear individual output you can separate from the platform around you
Shipped end-to-end AI systems to production with real users and real failure modes — not demos or notebooks
Demonstrated entrepreneurial instinct: a side project, startup, internal 0→1, or innovation within a large org that shows you don't just execute what's scoped for you
STEM degree (CS, Math, Physics, Engineering) from a top-tier university
Commercial EQ — comfortable working with non-technical stakeholders, customers, and design partners alongside deep technical ability
