We're looking for a founding platform/full-stack engineer to build the infrastructure powering AI's leap to autonomous learning. Own the tools and platforms enabling true AGI.
About Kaizen
We build reinforcement learning environments that let AI train from its own experience instead of being limited by human-labeled data. 5 months in: strong traction with frontier labs who depend on our platform for autonomous AI training.
The Role
Build the platform and tools that let our team move fast while scaling AI training infrastructure. Create "build once, use many times" solutions for both internal teams and frontier AI labs.
Key Responsibilities
Build critical infrastructure, internal tools, and CI/CD pipelines enabling rapid development
Create React frontends and Python backends for platform tools used by AI labs
Design reusable components and workflows that eliminate repetitive work
Deploy scalable systems on AWS/GCP supporting high-volume AI training
Establish engineering practices as we scale 3 → 30+ engineers
Requirements
Must-haves:
2-5 years building platforms/tools that help developers move faster
Platform engineering expertise with DevOps products and CI/CD pipelines
Full-stack capabilities: React.js and Python backend experience
Some DevOps experience building on top of platforms you create
AWS/GCP deployment with production systems
Scale experience at 30+ employee companies where your tools had real usage
Bonus: Public portfolio, private package registries, microservices, Docker, open-source contributions, large company experience, top CS school
Ideal profile: Started full-stack → platform engineer, or founded something then moved to platform work
Why Join
Own AGI infrastructure: Build developer tools powering AI's autonomous future
Proven traction: Strong partnerships with frontier labs and validated demand
Ground floor: Employee #4 reconstructing digital infrastructure for AGI
Technical impact: Create tools that unblock both internal teams and top AI researchers
