As a Technical Support Engineer at Cursor, you'll be the frontline of user interaction, providing fast, high-quality technical assistance through Intercom and Slack. Your primary focus will be resolving complex, user-reported issues—debugging bugs, troubleshooting usability problems, and ensuring smooth, AI-enhanced developer experiences. You'll spend the majority of your time directly engaging with developers, delivering thoughtful, responsive support while maintaining a deep understanding of the Cursor product. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in high-velocity environments, are passionate about devtools, and can communicate clearly and confidently in English.
Beyond day-to-day ticket handling, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of support at Cursor by building internal tools, refining documentation, and improving automation workflows. As Cursor and AI evolve, so will your responsibilities—transitioning from manual problem-solving toward designing scalable, automated systems that enhance the customer experience. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, influence product direction through frontline insights, and even contribute code when bugs or inefficiencies surface. This is a remote role with flexible hours, perfect for someone excited to dive deep into a technical product and help define what modern, AI-powered support looks like.
We're Anysphere, the team behind Cursor.
Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering.
We're a group of engineers and scientists who've built well-known products, created large OSS projects, started productive businesses, won olympiad medals, and published significant research (e.g. tmm1, ian, luke, phil, federico, aman, sualeh).
Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truthseeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.
We're in-person in a cozy office in North Beach, San Francisco, replete with a well-stocked library. Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI, Jeff Dean, John Schulman, and the founders of Stripe and Github.
