We are looking for a Founding Engineer, ideally with 3+ years of experience, to join Pascal as one of the first team members.
We are building AI-native systems for the offline economy with foundational intelligence. We are starting with consumer packaged goods (CPG)-- think Pepsico, General Mills, and Unilever.
You are a generalist who is comfortable working across the stack — from backend data infrastructure to customer-facing product — and you thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. You'll work directly with customers to understand business objectives and build both the underlying platforms and outcome-oriented agents to transform how physical brands operate across finance, sales, and operations.
This is a rare opportunity to shape both the product and the culture from the ground floor at a company started by high pedigree founders and backed by premier Silicon Valley investors.
What will you be doing?
Building and deploying harness evaluation platforms to create fast feedback loops around product outcomes
Building foundational data infrastructure — both single and multi-tenant hosting models — at terabyte scale
Owning end-to-end delivery of production agents for marquee customers
Designing a reinforcing context layer that captures how companies operate internally
Defining the culture and operating bar for every company investment (across product and the team)
Equip the offline economy with foundational intelligence.

Founders
Matthew Ko was previously a VP at Blackstone and an Analyst at Marshall Wace, where he drove private deals and public investments across CPG, Retail, and Technology. He saw firsthand the market opportunity trapped behind the tribal workflows in the industry today. (MIT '16, Mathematics)
Rick Huang led engineering teams at Meta and Glean. At Glean, he started the data foundations team and grew it to 35 engineers globally, building the core data pipeline that processes 1B+ documents, and 100M+ weekly updates. His work helped scale the company from 6- to 9-figure revenue and securing its first $100K+ and $1M+ ACV contracts (MIT ’18, CS and Engineering)
Together they launched Pascal in January and already have five customers under contract, including a $100M+ consumer brand, with larger enterprise pilots underway. Their $5M round also includes a group of experienced operators including Jesse Zhang (Decagon), Scott Wu (Cognition), and Balaji Krishnamurthy (Uber).
