Dumpling Dumpling's mission is to bring a new street food experience to the UK based on the Chinese dumpling, but with a global fusion twist. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the company started a successful takeaway business on the Isle of Wight.
The main responsibilities of this role included: -
•Administration: Including day-to-day admin, replying to customers, applying for events, registration with HMRC and Companies House.
•Accounts: Invoicing customers, chasing outstanding payments, book- keeping, and submitting accounts to accountant for filing.
•Client Relations: Developing customer relationships and maintaining a good rapport with customers. 
•Advertising/Marketing: Designing marketing materials including uniform, flyers, postcards, banners and posters for events, takeaway, and street food events as well as planning and executing online marketing campaigns on social media. I also designed and published the company website and sales platform (www.dumplingdumpling.com).
•Food Hygiene Training/Supervision: Kept all food related hygiene records up to date and ensured staff adhered to COSHH and Food Hygiene guidelines through training and company handbooks.
•Logistics: Coordinating stock, staff and transport for multiple simultaneously occurring events in different parts of the country.
•Product Development: Created new menu items and recipe and costing sheets for these. 
•Sales: Responded to sales enquiries over the phone and via email. Traded at events and worked both in a ‘cooking’ capacity as well as ‘point of sale’. 
•Staff Management: Created rotas, supervised staff performance across different sites, managed staff conduct and periodic employee appraisals. I also worked with my business partner to train staff to ensure they could cook our food to an expected standard and maintain the company's high standard of customer service.
•Stock Control: Monitored inventory, ordered stock as required, tracked shipments and addressed delays and incorrect deliveries.

I was interested in gaining experience in the Catering / Food & Beverage Industry prior to setting up my own Street Food Business. It was an invaluable experience and allowed me to do market research before starting Dumpling Dumpling. 

The main responsibilities of this role as Assistant Manager were executed along with the Cafe Manager or as directed by them, and included: -
•Food Hygiene Training/Supervision

•Staff Management: There was a large team of young staff members during the Summer season, and along with the Cafe Manager, it was my responsibility to write up staff rotas, deal with staff problems, ensure they were kept busy, worked efficiently during busy periods and maintained a high level of professionalism and good staff morale
•Reported to Owner: We had monthly reviews with the Cafe Owner and would be required to discuss takings and profit for the month before and brainstorm ideas to enhance these.

I managed daily administration duties, account management, customer services, and the Human Resources department. In regards to Business Development, I worked with my colleagues to conduct market research, explore business opportunities at home and overseas, created marketing materials, and promoted brand awareness through attending networking events, expos, seminars and trade missions. **The Role**

This founding design engineer role will be one of first three hires, and we’re in the process of setting up an office in NYC. This role is 100% in-person, and we only plan on hiring people who are so smart/amicable that you’d go into the office on a Sunday just to hangout with them.

We’re looking for somebody who is obsessed with design and loves bringing those designs to life with code. If you’re an exceptionally talented designer but don’t code, that could still work if you’re willing to learn (we’re more than happy to teach you frontend development — it’s not that hard!). Aptitude is more important than experience, in our view.

In this role, your sole responsibility will be to design and help build the most beautiful reading app in the world.

In this role, you will be expected to:

- Scale our current performance programs
    - Paid search

- Build experimentation framework, analytics, and roadmap for top of funnel CRO
