At EQ Recruiting we believe that emotional intelligence is one of the most important parts of the interview process and is one of the main things lacking in recruiting today. We put a heavy emphasis on relationships, culture, fit, and team with both the candidates and companies we work with. 

From a business perspective, we work with VC-backed startups across all industries. Technical Recruiting for individual contributor and Manager roles is our main focus. We typically work on all things software engineering (backend, fullstack, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, devops--all these and more! In addition, we work on product manager and product design roles of all levels. As a team, we have placed candidates in nearly every major tech market in the US and Canada, but being Bay Area-based, our largest network is in San Francisco.

At Cadre, we did contingency recruiting for VC-backend startups in the San Francisco Bay Area. I worked a full desk, and I was responsible for doing business development as well as filling the roles I brought on. Most of the roles we worked on were IC software engineers, but I filled non-tech roles including account executive, head of biz dev, marketing manager, UI/UX designer, product managers, and more.

11x established the Digital Worker category by building the world's first AI Sales Development Rep (SDR), Alice. As the leaders in deploying LLMs to automate end-to-end jobs, we're now developing Jordan, an AI phone calling agent designed to handle inbound and outbound calls with human-like interactions. We believe the future of work is autonomous and that unleashing Digital Workers will have massively disruptive and positive consequences in how people work, with each other and with AI.

🧑‍💻 **What is this role?**

After the success of Alice, creating the next hyper growth Digital Worker is critical. The Jordan team is responsible for building and delivering our new greenfield product Jordan, aiming to be the world's best AI phone agent. We're automating phone calls using AI Digital Workers, allowing our customers to gain an ultra-realistic AI phone caller that seamlessly makes/takes calls on their behalf.

We are looking for an experienced, innovative full-stack software engineer to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and drive the development of Jordan's core capabilities. You will have the opportunity to architect and build agents full-stack, initially in the context of Jordan, and later across a range of workers built to automate billions of human hours spent on menial tasks every year.

Our stack for Jordan includes TypeScript/Node.js and Next.js, and also Python with live real-time audio streams to WebSockets to Twilio.

- Lead technical projects and implementation of Jordan's core features
- Architect and build new workflows within Jordan, while maintaining and optimizing existing feature-rich workflows
- Drive technical decisions and best practices across the team

- Identify and implement architectural improvements and scalability solutions
- Mentor and guide junior team members

- 5-8 years of comprehensive software engineering experience across the full stack
